In Argentina, the different chains of The Andes Mountain Range are the setting of winter sports. The ski centers are located in the north and south provinces of the country offering trails that extend for kilometers and trails for beginners, as well as areas for the practice of free-ride ski.
Some of the centers are closer to the cities than others. They are differentiated for the type of snow, the different duration of the season and the chairlift type that they offer. All of them have among their services the Schools of Skiing and Snowboard.
According to the regions the main ones are:
o Cuyo: Las Leñas, Penitentes and Vallecitos.
o Patagonia: Cathedral Hill, Caviahue, Bayo Hill, Chapelco, La Hoya and Castor Hill.

Winter sports centers of Argentina are ready to receive the visitors who want to enjoy the snow. The news for 2009 season include walks with racquets, sledges pulled by dogs, new trails, more chairlifts and cultural and sport events.
This snow season in Argentina starts on Saturday 20th of June in most of the ski centers.
