Small spot on the bank of Los Chorrillos Stream. It has a colorful resort with stone and sand beaches. There are very good cabin complexes.
Cabalango Resort: From Route 28 (Tanti) turn left (westwards) by Amancay Street. You must drive or ride seven kilometers to reach a beautiful resort with stone and sand beaches, surrounded by a wonderful landscape. Los Chorrillos Stream waters are warm and crystal clear. There are campgrounds with all the services.
Bamba´s Monument: Sculpture located in the Municipality of Estancia Vieja, neighboring Cabalango and Villa Santa Cruz del Lago at km 745 of National Route 20 towards the west. Monument raised by decision of José Muñoz – a man who divided the region into lots and developed several places of Villa Carlos Paz and Villa del Lago. This monument was meant to attract tourists and potential purchasers of land in the region. The architectural pieces are the work of the sculptor Miguel Pablo Borgarello (born in Córdoba) who synthesized the spirit and the essence of the literary work “Bamba”, of the regional writer Ataliva Herrera (1888-1953), friend of Muñoz. According to its author, “Bamba” is a epic poem that gather legends and traditions of the primitive mountain range. The preponderant plot passages can be identified in the monument: “when Bamba kidnaps Maria Magdalena”, “Maria Magdalena with her four children and Jazmín, the dog”, ¨The Witch¨ and ¨The Condor¨ The work was realized between 1949 and 1951. The materials used were stone and cement. It has a surface of 209 sq m and is 17 m tall. There are valuable researches about the main character of this story.
