Cañuelas is known as the locality of Buenos Aires that caused the milk jam or “Dulce de Leche”. Among its activities outstands the farm-mini-tourism. In its historic urban area we find green parks, restaurants and inns.
Cañuelas began to be developed around the church and the main plaza as all the towns founded by Spaniards. A few blocks from the center is the School 32, which was inn of Machicotte, place that used to be visited by Juan Moreira.
As a trip to the past we can experience in the bar "Los Amigos" (1942) the experiences of gauchos that populated the area in old times since it conserves its style, furniture and even original beverages.
The Historic Museum and Boureau "Lucio Garcia Ledesma" has a collection of tools and rural utensils, containers that belonged to the dairy “La Martona”, photographs, documents and books.
The Complex “El Lago” offers the visitor golf and pole courses so that they can practice their favorite sport. Near Cañuelas is Uribelarrea town, whose circuits include history, stores, country houses, restaurants, cold cuts, cheeses and craft beers.
An exclusive attraction of Cañuelas is its Club of Sailplanes. It can be visited on weekends to carry out flights, in company of a pilot. Among the most important festivities of the locality is emphasized June 24 as the Day of the Candy of Milk and November 27 that is the day of the dairy.
