It is a colorful town located on the west slopes of Sierras Grandes in Punilla Valley. It has many landscape, religious, historic and cultural attractions. It has many resorts equipped with all the services. It offers family inns, night life and a downtown amphitheater. This quiet place is 15 km from Villa Carlos Paz.
La Cascada. It is a hundred meters upstream El Diquecito Resort, along the same stream. It is about 20 m high, narrowed by solid granite walls and surrounded by a dense vegetation. This place can be reached walking along the bank of the stream. Then, if you wish, you may go on walking for one hour and half to reach the so-called Cave of Ferns and the Indian Well, full of traces of the local indians.
Traveling along Tanti Stream banks. This stream is winding and surrounded by a dense and varied vegetation. It raises 4 km from downtown, in the mountain slopes. Along its winding bed there are six natural pools that make up different resorts. Several of them have footbridges that allow visitors to better enjoy the landscape.
Gruta de la Virgen de la Medalla Milagrosa. (Virgin of the Miraculous Medallion Cave). You can reach this Sanctuary from downtown, along Belgrano Street up to Río Turbio Street (then Madre Camila Rolón Street) and turning left. Resting on a huge stone you will find a big White Cross contrasting with the blue sky.
Cruz de Fátima. (Fatima´s Cross). It can be reached from Route 28, along El Jazmín Street and then El Paraiso Street where you will find pictures of the Stations of the Cross, ending at the highest point of the hill, with a small outdoors altar of Fatima Virgin.
Los Chorrillos Stream and Waterfall. You can reach this place from Route 28. It raises 14 km from Tanti, flowing along gullies and steep crags. It is surrounded by a natural and almost wild landscape. Very close to its source, there is a huge fall 115 m high with a neighboring dense and exuberant vegetation due to the great humidity percentage of the place. |

En sus orígenes, Tanti fue posta de la primera jornada de viaje entre Córdoba y San Juan en tiempos coloniales, camino que cruzaba la Pampa de Achala en las Altas Cumbres. Paralelamente a esos "servicios" fueron surgiendo varias estancias.
En el año 1848 se construye la capilla (luego Iglesia) Nuestra Señora del Rosario, agrupando a los pobladores dispersos en las sierras aledañas, los que poco a poco fueron constituyendo lo que hoy es esta pequeña pero bella localidad del Valle de Punilla.
