Its name means ¨Beautiful Valley¨ and refers to the geographic location of the town, which has a privileged microclimate. If you want to see the town, you may start by visiting San Antonio Chapel, built in 1735, which is on General Paz Avenue (National Route 38). Then, also in downtown, you will find the Municipal Museum, situated in the former railway station and is made up of six different rooms : Minerals, Philately, Taxidermy, Antiques and Elements belonging to the Ayampitín Culture). A few meters away, there are railway coaches fitted out as museum-rooms that display the history and techniques of the railway through free guided visits. Paseo Conciencia and the Casona Rosa offer you Mathematics and Sciences in a practical way. This town has also a planetarium. Another option is to get a train and watch the local flora and scrublands.
There is also the possibility of riding a horse, do trekking, rural or adventure tourism, cultural guided walks, etc. You may also visit Vaquerías Natural Reserve, Capilla del Monte or other towns of Punilla Valley. It is also possible to visit other valleys such as Traslasierra and Calamuchita and to do ecotourism with all the services and guided by a professional. How to reach: By National Route 20 (divided highway): from Córdoba to Villa Carlos Paz and then, by National Route 38 to Valle Hermoso. Total distance: 67 km.
