With the appearance of a small town, Villa de Las Rosas has an impressive sight of the Sierras Grandes and its daily life takes place around the square, which is surrounded by the church, the Town Hall and the Police Station. An stream with mineral water supplies the resort and campground Guasmara, which has four swimming-pools, a general store and shade where you can camp. The village offers many options regarding to hikking and riding. From the resort you can reach the Stations of the Cross on the Mogote Hill; you can also opt for the circuit El Pueblito-El Valle, ideal for hikking.
The circuit Los Molles and Las Chacras is 12 kilometers westwards from the square and encloses hamlets that keep the local customs intact. There you can visit Las Tres Tejas, a caprine farm at the foot of Champaquí. At the end of the visit there is a tasting of its products. This village is the closest to Champaquí (2,886 meters high) and this invites you to climb the mountain by the shortest way, that is, by Los Molles or Rodeo de Piedra.
