History and religion are intertwined in San Nicolas de Los Arroyos. Founded in 1748, this city north of the province of Buenos Aires on the banks of the Parana River on the border with the province of Santa Fe, was the scene of notable events of national history. In addition, since 1983, is visited by thousands of faithful devotees of the Virgen del Rosario whose appearances in the area began in those years.
San Nicolas de Los Arroyos is located 234 km from Buenos Aires and 65 km from Rosario. It reaches this town from highway connecting withthe Federal Capital city of Rosario.
One of the main attractions of this city, and the more recent, is the Sanctuary of Mary of the Rosary. Thousands of faithful come to town every 25 September and the 25th of each month since its emergence in 1983 did the Virgin Mary and seek to build a temple on the site. There were many more appearances.
The Teatro Municipal Rafael de Aguiar "is an architectural jewel replica of the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires on a smaller scale. Opened on 10 August 1908, presented at that time a large role in charge of the Italian Lyric Company.
Since 2000, the city has a Costal Walk from Av Alberdi to the income of the bathing place.

This ancient city was founded on April 14, 1748 by Raphael de Aguiar, who was assigned the name of which was devoted saint, San Nicolas de Bari.
If we go back to the beginning we can say that livestock farming prevailed in the area. However, the fledgling industry began to settle. First as a warehouse, then in a refrigerator up to the present age in which San Nicolás is known for its steel industry, more specifically steel.
A pioneer in the country was the first city in the interior which had gas lighting, the first horse trams, the first Salesian College of America. In 1819 Congress awarded him the title of city. On March 31, 1852 at St. Nicholas signed the agreement namesake would change forever the destiny of the country.
