The circuit of the 7 Lakes can performed following the 7 Lagos Avenue from Village La Angostura. Only 11 kilometers separate the Village from the starting point of this marvelous road that will take you toward San Martin of The Andes in a journey of 110 kilometers of adventure. This circuit is located in the intersection of two National Parks, Nahuel Huapi and Lanín.
Those kilometers of National Route # 234 are sinuous and rubble in a section, but in good conditions. It requires prudence while driving and not speed due to the fact that it narrows in some places. It crosses forests of enormous coihue trees and lakes that are discovered while passing through. From the Village, the paved road ends when arriving at Espejo Lake of so calm water that it reflects the mountains that surround it without distorting them. Further on it can be observed to the right Correntoso Lake in whose edge is located the old abandoned hotel Ruca Malé. To the left a road is opened to gain access to Espejo Chico Lake that is found two kilometers away from the main road.
Another interesting spot on the road is 7 Lagos Inn, which belongs to Quintupuray family. Further on is the fork with Provincial Route # 65 that would take us to Traful Village.
The wooded area is denser and denser and with Pichi Traful river to the left is discovered Escondido Lake with a greenish tone that characterizes it. Pichi Traful River is a paradise for fishermen. From this lake onwards begins the paved road again. The next lakes we look for are 9 kilometers ahead, Villarino to the left and Falkner to the right connected by a stream. An attraction after these lakes is Vullignango waterfall of 20 meters height belonging to Filuco River.
After 21 km, already in National Park Lanín, we arrive at Machónico Lake, the sixth water mirror of our circuit. By a road that is opened toward the left we can gain access to Hermoso Lake located only 2.5 kilometes away from the route. Passing this lake we will find to the right the fork of Provincial route # 63 that conducts to Comfluencia by Cordoba Pass.
Before finishing our circuit, one of the last attractions is Partido Stream. The water course forks and each branch goes to a different ocean. To the right Partido Stream goes toward Lácar Lake, basin of the Pacific Ocean; to the left its water flows toward Meliquina Lake, basin of the Atlantic Ocean. Finally, we begin to see Lácar Lake, the last one of tour in whose margin is located San Martin of The Andes.
