Only 4 kilometers from Colon by Route #26, it is the old large house where Mr. Forclaz lived with his family counting the old winch system mill, thrown by mules.
The windmill was built to enlarge the flour production, which became a failure because of the lack of the necessary wind to work. It got its name from its creator, the Swiss Juan Forclaz. Due to the absence of favorable conditions, Forclaz created a different modality of operation by means of the throw of mules. In 1985 it was declared National Historic Monument.
Its base is three meters stone and reaches twelve meters with brick as support of its structure. Its 6 meters arms each can be still appreciated.
