As a sample of the first pioneering years in Patagonia and in Argentina, the Historical Steam Engine Train waits for the passengers at San Carlos de Bariloche Railway Station as if it always had been there. It moves forward slowly along the shore of Nahuel Huapi Lake, crosses a bridge over Ñirihuau River and stops for a while in the middle of the steppe.
The next stop is Ñirihuau Station, a viewpoint from where you can appreciate the Andes in their full dimension. The shapes and heights of Cathedral, Tronador and Capilla Hills are perfectly distinct from that place. The words: ¨Pasajeros al tren¨ (Passengers, get on the train) means that the group is close to leave again towards Perito Moreno Station, where, among other activities, you can go for a walk to Los Juncos Pond and pay a visit to the old railway buildings.
