Ski Center La Hoya is located 13 kilometers from Esquel city and is one of the most chosen Argentinean trails to enjoy the snow. Its south orientation makes t the white blanket of snow in dust to last more time since the low temperatures are conserved almost the whole season.
Another characteristic of this winter center is that all its trails, of different difficulty, converge in the same base. Every year the National Festival of Skiing is carried out, event that dates from 1980 and in which competences of white sports are carried out and the National Queen of the Skiing is chosen in the "Magic Night" with descent of torches.
Together with this winter center is the most complete "Fly Park" of South America. It has a ski, snowboard and snow-mobile piste for "freestyle” that was built by a group of creative young people with the support of the Government of the province and the City Hall of Esquel.
From Esquel city, which counts on capacity to harbor 3000 tourists approximately, you can hire vehicles that will take you to this winter center or to enjoy the classical excursions like racquets trekking.
