“Trochita” (¨little gauge¨) is the word used to affectionately name the Old Patagonian Express, running on a gauge only 75 cm wide. This train performed a social function until 1993, conveying people from Esquel to Ingeniero Iacobacci in the Province of Río Negro. At present, it is one of Esquel´s main tourist attractions, traveling along the same route. One of its stops is in Nahuel Pan Station, an aboriginal Mapuche village, where the passengers can purchase local crafts and pay a visit to the Museo de Culturas Originarias. Special fees for retired people, university students and children. Departures: Mondays to Saturdays from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.
