It comprises important pieces of the colonial epoch, several collections of religious images among of which outstands an Italian board from the 16th century, interesting furniture, weapons, porcelains, musical instruments, paintings of the school of Cuzco and silverware. It is remarkable a bellows organ manufactured in Cordoba in the 18th century which belonged to the Convent of Teresas. It possesses an important library.
EI building has a double value: because of its architectural quality and because it is the only colonial house that remains standing in Cordoba. It dates from the 18th century and was built by Mr. José Rodriguez, being rented between the years 1784 and 1796 by the Governing Manager of Cordoba, Marques of Sobremonte.
Located in a corner of the lot, it occupies a quarter of apple on the streets called Las Carretas de San Jerónimo and San Rafael; which is a good example of the conjunction of housing and business. This last one was in the beveled corner, with double door separated by a pillar and very decorated lintels and finished with a very beautiful high bacon with iron railing that supports on carved wood brackets. The facades are of great simplicity, the iron grilles of the windows and balconies are scarcely worked. The wide walls and the solid doors stablished a strong limit between the family life and what happened in the street.
The distribution of the rooms is done around the succession of patios that go losing importance while they move further from the entrance. Its extensive hallway is very valuable because of the ornamentation that the vault has and also because of the interesting exterior drainage systems. The tour though the main patio with stoned floor called "a huevillo", the aged pome granate tree, the covered stair in angle; its white gallery with big-bricks and window vault, the delicate belfry and the ancient sundial, will make you travel in the time.
