Ostende is not only a summer season attraction, but receives tourists during all the year round. Ostende was born as a project of some Belgian native pioneers who wanted to build an only tourist town similar to the homonymous spot of its native land. In this way is born Ostende, a clearly European urban development project from beginnings of the 20th century with a layout of streets different to the habitual, with large diagonal avenues and a central avenue, of more than 50 meters wide that finishes in a hemicycle in the zone of the beaches.
The places you cannot miss and the representative of Ostend are: "Rambla de los Belgas", the Maisson Robette which dates from beginnings of the 20th century, the Old Hotel Ostende and the Museum of Ostende.
