Perito Moreno Glacier is located in National Park Los Glaciares -The Glaciers-. Globally it is recognized because it is the most imposing one among the 356 glaciers with a front of 5 kilometers and a height of more than 60 meters above the sea level. The spectacle of seeing the falling of large blocks of ice that float like ice floes in the glacial lakes that surround it is permanent.
Its processes of breaking are expected all over the world when, arriving at the coastal margin, the glacier stops the flow of water of Brazo Rico and produces a kind of reservoir where the water exeedes unevenness in about 20 meters originating the filtration that culminates with the expected break.
In 1981 the UNESCO declared the National Park Los Glaciares as Natural Patrimony of the Humanity.
