Today we call it Train of the End of the World and it is for tourism; before it carried out a longer trip and it was known as the train of the prisoners. It was used to carry to people under arrest to cut down trees to the forest and then to carry the wood.
The prisoners used this train to build a lighthouse, their own prison and to maintain the life of the whole city. This Train of the End of the World is called now Ferrocarril Austral Fueguino (Southern Railroad of Tierra del Fuego), and makes a circuit of seven kilometers that takes two hours with a setting of luxury.
The train goes along a sub Antarctic forest with lengas, ñirres, coihues and cinnamon trees, where can be appreciated the track of the work of the old prisoners. It stops in streams and waterfalls. The end of the tour is the Station Park.
